Today the property is still an elegant icon and has remained in excellent structural condition, but as the Clergy have not been in residence for some time, and this grand old home has lain dormant.

There are two bathrooms, one at each end of the house, offering separate shower, a bath and two toilets. What People Are Saying About Maggies

“Thank you kind people so much for letting us stay in your beautiful house.
We had a lovely time and it is a truly beautiful place.
Thank you once again for a lovely relaxing week.”

Michelle - January 2018

“Super thoughtful hosts. Each room is beautifully styled with its own personality and very comfortable. With a group the shared bathrooms worked well. The wide veranda is perfect for drinks and the large working kitchen, great to rustle up a meal to eat in the elegant dinning room. Great location in a pretty town.”

Katherine - May 2018

“Congratulations on the opening of MAGGIES! We were all gobsmacked and loved our two nights in this superlative house. The 'wow' factor when we all arrived late on Friday was immense.
We were all so impressed with the creativity and attention to detail, together with the eye for beautiful objets d'art. Particularly loved the ruby Murano chandelier in the entrance. All of us took great interest in the lovely things around the house, especially as we all have homes with lovely artefacts as well, but to a more minimalist extent!
Functionally the house worked well and was superbly equipped. We had a big and beautiful dinner in the dining room and several long sits in the comfy lounge room - and breakfast in the sun on the verandah.
After two nights we didn't want to go home, feeling that we had only scratched the surface of the house and of Trentham. We walked down into the town both days for morning coffee - a happening place. Not much time to relax really - would have liked to stay a week.
Our group of seven have any friends and contacts so I am sure we will be good publicity for this magnificent venue.”

Gillian - March 2017
